Second New Poster for Jurassic World and Trevorrow Explains Where They Got Mosasaur DNA

We’ve gotten our second teaser poster for Jurassic World this week, and it features the Mosasaur underwater about to eat a great white shark! It was tweeted by the director, Colin Treverrow, with the status update: “We’ve made living biological attractions so astounding that they’ll capture the imagination of the entire planet.” This, of course, is another famous line spoken by John Hammond in the original Jurassic Park film.

Someone on Twitter asked Colin where they got the DNA for the underwater reptile, since it might be hard for mosquitoes to bite a mosasaur under the sea. He repsonded with an article about scientists discovering soft-tissue, including blood vessels, on a 70-year old Tyrannosaurus fossil. So, guess that explains that.

The official Jurassic World Twitter account also posted the image with the status update: “There’s always a bigger fish. The new trailer surfaces in two days.” So hold on to your butts… Until Monday gets here with a new trailer!
