Listen to two songs from Michael Giacchino’s Jurassic World soundtrack

JW_soundtrack_firstIt’s been 14 years since we last heard new music from the Jurassic Park franchise with Don Davis’s Jurassic Park 3 score. That changes now. Take a listen to two tracks from the Jurassic World soundtrack- ‘As the Jurassic World Turns’ and another that is currently untitled- thanks to WQXR Radio!

The Jurassic World soundtrack is composed by Michael Giacchino who won an Academy Award for his music on UP, and also worked on other iconic soundtracks such as Star Trek (2009 and Into Darkness), Ratatouille, Tomorrowland and LOST. Giacchino is the second composer to take the reigns from John Williams who composed the amazing and iconic scores for Jurassic Park and The Lost World.

While most of the music in the tracks above is new, the original theme comes into play towards the very end of the first, and the second track has a very familiar Jurassic sound to it in general. Giacchino said the score is 117 minutes long, so we have a lot of new music to look forward to come June 9th, when you can buy the soundtrack in stores and online!

What are your thoughts on the new music? Sound off below, tell your friends, and be sure to stay tuned for all the latest news on everything Jurassic World!
